New hire Kim Austin to drive Trimont’s strategic development and industry-leading diversity initiatives

ATLANTA, GEORGIA (March 15, 2021)Trimont Real Estate Advisors, the global industry leader for commercial real estate credit management and servicing, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kim Austin as the Managing Director of Talent Inclusion Diversity (TID).

Filling a new and critical role within the firm, Austin is partnering with senior leaders in driving effective human resource structures and processes, continually advancing inclusion and diversity within the organization and driving informed decision-making regarding compensation, advancement and operational execution of Trimont’s human resources.

Based in Trimont’s Atlanta headquarters, she reports directly to CEO Brian Ward and will serve on the Executive Operating Committee.

Austin has more than 23 years of human resources experience. She began her career as manager of human resources at Saks Incorporated before being recruited by international law firm Troutman Sanders LLP, where she assisted in the development and implementation of onboarding strategies for over 700 employees in 15 offices throughout North America, Europe and Asia. In 2010, Austin was named talent acquisition & HR business partner at Alston & Bird, where she was responsible for staff recruiting strategies in the Atlanta office with over 800 attorneys.

More recently, Kim held the position of business partner, human resources for Career Builder, where she was responsible for employee relations, performance management and aligning HR strategies with business client groups. In 2017, Austin was named human resources director of International Market Centers, acquired by Blackstone, where she supported the HR integration process during acquisition for a company with 525 team members in five cities.
