Trimont was engaged by a major global investment bank to provide asset management and servicing on $24 million of senior loans, subordinate loans, and client equity interests.
Beginning in 2002 and completed over an eight-year period the CityGate I, CityGate II, Solstice, and ONYX buildings are part of a four-phase community containing a total of 1,397 condominium units. Located in the cultural, commercial, and residential heart of the City Centre neighborhood of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, the project provides easy access to the Living Arts Centre, Celebration Square, Hershey Centre Arena, and Square One shopping center. The sleek, curtain- walled glass towers were designed by Quadrangle Architects Limited and share numerous amenities including rooftop gardens, health clubs, spas, swimming pools, entertainment rooms, and media rooms.
- The development sparked the transformation of downtown Mississauga from vacant lots and single-family homes into Canada’s densely populated, sixth largest city.
- Awards for the towers include the Canadian Home Builders Association Project of the Year, Ontario Home Builders Association Project of the Year, and the Mississauga Urban Design Award of Excellence.
- CityGate I was the first project in Mississauga to offer loft-style units.
